Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate experienced Psychiatrist to join our SouthPark office, serving as a key member of the Women's Center for Mental Health. This position is uniquely focused on women's mental health, supporting patients ages 16 and older through a holistic, evidence-based approach. The ideal candidate will have expertise in women's mental health and an interest in community engagement, and education. In addition to direct patient care, responsibilities include, contributing to data-driven program development, and participating in public speaking engagements to promote awareness and advocacy for women’s mental wellness.
Opportunity Highlights:

- Hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days in office, remaining days remote work with video visits; in-person availability must be flexible
- Team support of a psychologist, APPs and therapist
- Supervision of APPs
Candidate Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Outpatient clinic hours, Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm to include occasional work beyond the 8-5 schedule
- Patient Population: women ages 16+
- On-Call Duty: Up to 2 weeks per year

Opportunity Highlights:
- Medical Director, 0.9 FTE clinical, 0.1 FTE administrative
- Leadership of inpatient behavioral health services, including our 50-bed adult units and our CL services
- Day shift, Monday - Friday, plus call rotation
- Adult inpatient unit
Candidate Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Current medical license
- 5 years of experience post residency
- Leadership experience preferred
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide program leadership and oversight of all care provided in Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Services, and psychiatric hospitalist and consultation services
- Represent Psychiatric Services to Hospital’s administration and participate in administrative meetings and duties as necessary
- Participate in community-related partnerships
- Act as liaison with Medical Staff in effort to facilitate timely transitions in care
- Facilitate timely consult liaison services for acute care consultations
- Serves as a role model and acts as liaison with psychiatric providers (including distribution of workload and call schedule) in coordination with the Departmental Chair and Dept of Medical Affairs
- Complete daily rounding and timely documentation on assigned patients
- Oversee the creation, development and/or implementation of policies and procedures that result in the provision of hospital based psychiatric services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team that includes providers, nursing, therapy and support staff
- Provide clinical oversight for hospital employed independently licensed mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, etc.) as required. This includes Hospital BH programs such as crisis hotline, mobile crisis, mobile assessment, telehealth, and assessment center services
- Primary supervising Physician for psychiatric hospital employed APP staff
